Both Amazon and Google ventured into the health space, anticipating a share of the enormous amount of cash flow present in this space. However, both entities folded their tents after failing to make a significant dent or interest in their applications.
Artificial intelligence has stoked their interest once again. These giant stockholder institutions are always willing to pivot in a direction that appears more profitable.
Gemini Amazon and Google have tapped AI with their AI. Amazon calls it AWS Generative AI on AWS and Google has Gemini and several other health AIs.

MedLM can complete a wide range of complex tasks, ranging from answering medical questions to summarizing dense medical information to deriving insights from unstructured data. It is now available to cloud customers through Vertex AI.
Google is also teaming up with HCA (Health Corporation of America), the owner of many hospitals. Google is also offering ultrasound diagnostics and billing applications, as well as Augmedix, an electronic healthcare scribing system that will eliminate physician entries into the medical record.
Both Amazon and Google are collaborating with others already in the healthcare space.
Although many health care providers are early adopters, it will take a year to analyze whether the considerable investment has any return on investment.
